Marsala Wine



Marsala is made only of local Italian grades of grapes: Catarratto, Inzolija (Inzolia), Grillo (Grillo). Process of its manufacture in general is similar to the Sherry and Maderoj. An initial mash subject to thermal processing in special copper coppers, then add alcohol in the form of wine spirit and maintain in the way of sollers.


Marsala has two classifications: under the sugar maintenance:


- dry;

- moist;

- sweet.


And as on quality:

- Vergine – the highest quality;

- Superiore – the higher;

- Fini – perfect wine.


A fortress of wines Marsala from 17 to 20 %. The most known dry sort of 20-year-old endurance is Vecchio Samperi (Vechchio Samperi), made Marco De Bartoli (for Marko äå Bartoli) is Most widely known. Among other manufacturers it is necessary to allocate Pelligrino, Rallo, Vinicola Italiana Florio (Vinikola Italjana Florio). Sweet wines are presented by such marks, as Malvasia delle Lipari and Moscato diPantelleria (Moskato de Pantelleria). They are made on small islands near Sicilies. In Tuscany do unique drink Vin Santo (Vin Santo) that in transfer means «sacred wine».
