Malaga Wine
Malaga has received the name from a city-port on Mediterranean sea where it was made. The peak of its popularity has had on the XIX-th century middle, and in 1996 even its best manufacturer Sholts Hermanos has stopped manufacture.
For today exists two versions of Malaga:
- natural sweet wine (dulce natural). It is made in the traditional way from grapes of Pedro Himenes (Pedro Ximenez), sometimes with small addition of a grade of Muskatel (Moscatel). An example is known wine Lagrima.
Malaga classify under the sugar maintenance:
- dry (Seco);
- moist (Semi-dry);
- sweet (Dulce).
