Wine Of Germany
Despite a severe climate and, apparently, the conditions unsuitable for cultivation of grapes, the winemaking in Germany was introduced still by Romans, having extended it to all region. Here make basically white wines. In the sixties last century manufacturers have concentrated the attention to mass manufacturing of wine for export. Sweet and semisweet wines, being inexpensive, have got popularity among consumers of England and the USA. But struggle for mass commodity markets has damped reputation to German wine makers. Was considered that the German wine makers are not capable to make high quality wine. Presently quality of German wines is much better, than in 60th years, but reputation not so simply to correct.
Wine makers of Germany in the course of drink manufacture are compelled to solve a significant amount of problems. It is connected, first of all, with a geographical position of Germany. Here a cool climate because of which grapes are sated with acid.
German classification of wines differs from French, accepted in more parts of Europe. Under the law of 1971 the country is divided on 13 wine regions, each of which is divided into districts Bereich, then these districts share on Grosslage - some vineyards similar on productivity. These designations on bottles will testify to low quality of wine. And here instructions Eizenllage - the reference to a concrete vineyard should designate a drink, higher on quality. But thus here again it is easy to get confused, as this name can quite designate and Grosslage.
Unlike other European wine makers, Germans print on a label also the grade name of which wine is made. The wide circulation was received by grapes of Risling and Muller-Turgau.
Wines of Germany are classified on the system introduced by physicist Ferdinand Oeksle. On it systematise drinks on ripeness of fruits of which they are made. Degrees of Oe designate the sugar maintenance in grapes. On the given system allocate six classes.
But even the fruits which have reached to full ripeness, under the influence of colds can give sourish, unbalanced wine. For this reason wine makers have concentrated the attention to manufacture of moist, semisweet and sweet wines. Acidity in these wines is balanced by the raised maintenance of sugar and alcohol. Receive such drink, making at first completely dry, less alcohol wine, and then adding in it grape juice. Under the law, wines share on four categories.

The special quality symbol is the image of an eagle on a capsule closing a neck of a bottle.
